Stora Skuggan’s Silphium draws from the extinct plant of the same name. Grown in Cyrene, now known as Libya, Silphium was a spice so celebrated for its taste, smell and medicinal properties that it was over-harvested. Skuggan’s fragrance celebrates this lost spice - marvel as notes of cinnamon and tobacco turn to geranium and black pepper, then frankincense and leather. Contained in illustrated glass, its top features a curious marbled sphere coloured black and yellow; one last ode to this now forgotten foliage.
